ASSOCIATION OF POINCIANA VILLAGES
Association of Poinciana Villages (APV) Board of Directors, representatives from
FirstService Residential and representatives from Williams Company gathered
on December 9th to break ground on the APV Community Activity Campus.
The $4.1 million renovation and construction project includes renovating the
existing Community Center building, expanding the APV Recreation Center and
constructing a third building to house the community/recreation pool.
The Board of Directors and community members exited the APV Community
Center following the December Board meeting amid cheers and a receiving line
of APV employees leading dignitaries to the groundbreaking site.
Flanked by backhoes and APV public works vehicles, Danny Ellis, Regional
Director with FirstService Residential welcomed the group and introduced Bob
Lipscomb, president of the Williams Company, contractors of the project, who
introduced the project manager Luke Johnson to the crowd. Then APV Board
members and FirstService Residential donned hard hats and manned shovels to
turn the first dirt on the project.
The project will officially begin as soon as it receives final permit approvals from
Polk County. It will take seven and a half months to complete, so the community
should be enjoying all amenities at the APV Community Activity Campus by
