n February 9, Poinciana residents let their voices be heard as they cast
their ballots in the Village Board elections that took place from 7 a.m.
to 7 p.m. at the APV Community Center. Those who earned a spot on their
Village Board include:
• Jerry Ayala in Village 1
• Jose Padilla and Carole Jamison in Village 2
• Linda Cantreva and Mary Emerson in Village 3
• Sylvester Johnson, Amanda Geltz and Joseph Ramos in Village 5
• Adrienne Bourne in Village 7
• Edward Drexel in Village 8
A total of 38 candidates ran for the 10 open Village Board seats.
Poinciana residents were able to attend a “Meet and Greet” prior to the
elections to learn more about 17 of the 38 candidates running for the open
positions on Village Boards. Roughly 60 Poinciana residents listened as
candidates discussed their beliefs and shared their hopes for Poinciana. All
of the candidates shared something in common – they were passionate and
vocal about their desire to make Poinciana a better community for all.
The morning following elections, February 10, a Board Meeting with the new
board members took place to appoint Village Board representatives to the
APV Master Board and to appoint officers of the APV Master Board. Dottie
McStay of Village 9 was reappointed APV Board President, while Jose Padilla
of Village 2 was named the vice president. Linda Cantreva of Village 3 was
named secretary/treasurer and newcomer Adrienne Bourne of Village 7 was
named assistant secretary/treasurer. Other members of the APV Master Board
include: Felix Gratopp, representative for Village 1, Tony Iorio, representative
for Village 4, Victor Destremps of Village 5, Dan Young, representative for
Village 6, Adrienne Bourne of Village 7 and Edward Drexel of Village 8.
The next APV Master Board meeting is Tuesday, April 12 at 7 p.m and the
meeting is open to all Poinciana homeowners and residents.

En febrero 9, los residentes de Poinciana salieron a las urnas en el APV
Community Center y votaron entre de 7 a.m. a 7 p.m. en las elecciones para
las Juntas Directivas de las Villas. Aquellos que ganaron un puesto incluyen:
• Jerry Ayala de Villa 1
• Jose Padilla y Carole Jamison de Villa 2
• Linda Cantreva y Mary Emerson de Villa 3
• Sylvester Johnson, Amanda Geltz y Joseph Ramos de Villa 5
• Adrienne Bourne de Villa 7
• Edward Drexel de Villa 8
Un total de 38 candidatos se postularon para los 10 puestos disponible en las
Juntas Directivas de las Villas.
Los residentes de Poinciana pudieron asistir un “Meet and Greet” antes
que las elecciones se llevaran a cabo. En el evento, en donde 17 de los 38
candidatos se presentaron a aproximadamente 60 residentes, ocurrió el
lunes, 1 de febrero. Durante el evento, residentes escucharon a los candidatos
hablar de sus creencias y compartir sus deseos para Poinciana. Todos los
candidatos tenían algo en común – todos expresaron su deseo en hacer
Poinciana una mejor comunidad para todos.
La mañana siguiente (el 10 de febrero), una reunión de la Junta Directiva de
APV se llevo a cabo para designar representantes de las Juntas Directivas de
las Villas y para designar los oficiales de la Junta Directiva de APV. Dottie
McStay de Villa 9 fue reelegida como la presidente de la Junta Directiva de
APV y Jose Padilla de Villa 2 fue nombrado vicepresidente. Linda Cantreva
de Villa 3 fue nombrada secretaria/tesorera y Adrienne Bourne, una de las
recién elegidas a las Juntas Directivas de las Villas fue nombrada secretaria/
tesorera asistente. Otros miembros de la Junta Directiva de APV son: Felix
Gratopp, representativo para Villa 1, Tony Iorio, representativo para Villa 4,
Victor Destremps de Villa 5, Dan Young, representativo para Villa 6, Adrienne
Bourne de Villa 7 and Edward Drexel de Villa 8.
La próxima reunión de la Junta Directiva de APV es martes, 12 de abril a las
7 p.m. y esta abierta a todos los propietarios y residentes de Poinciana.
