The long-sought Poinciana Recreation Pool was voted into reality September
9, 2014 by the APV Board of Trustees. The expansive swimming pool and
splash pad playground will be located in front of the existing Poinciana
Recreation Center, as one part of the many expansion projects now being
planned for enhancing the recreation center complex.
The more than 8,000 square foot swimming pool that will loosely resemble
the letter P for APV in shape, will be a recreation style pool with shallow
and deeper ends. The pool complex will feature lounge chairs, umbrellas, a
nearby concession stand, and a splash pad playground adjoining the pool
area, for children of all ages to enjoy.
This easy access location will be optimum for handicap access, and will
provide residents easy in and out access for good traffic flow. The pool
construction is scheduled to begin shortly, with a planned completion date
during the late summer of 2015.
